Possibilities
a traveling creative exploration

Imagine the possibilities logo (D)

logo by Ben Bickle.

Possibilities presents effective choices through creative process. It is a tool for prevention and encourages use of one of our most powerful tools: imagination.

Possibilities troupe members are teenagers and older actors. They are skilled performers, improvisers, and trainers.

Possibilities begins with a performance. Interactive classroom workshops follow as students explore imagination through improvisation games and role play. Leaders' prompts then encourage application of imagination--of imagining something new--in conflict resolution, self-esteem, and goal setting.

  • Imagination developed, directed, and exercised with responsibility, is one of the strongest problem-solving tools in our repertoire.

  • Imagination, Einstein said, is more important than knowledge. It is the capacity to create and cultivate options. It is a step toward achieving our dreams.

  • We can imagine ourselves being vital, enterprising, and extraordinary.
Workshops can include improvisation, creative writing, and readers theatre. Many of the activities in the workshops are found in Bobbi Kidder's book, ImaginACTION. Questions and activities from Possibilities are available.

To find out more about bringing Possibilities to your school or facility, contact project director, Bobbi Kidder at her email address bkidder@rogue.cc.or.us
